Bookkeeper for Accommodation Business
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented bookkeeper to help us manage the financial records of a growing villa/accommodation business in Bali. This is not just data entry — we need someone who understands the local tax system, is comfortable with cloud accounting software, and can work independently with minimal supervision.
What You Need to Know Before Applying: Must-Have Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in bookkeeping for small businesses, especially hospitality/tourism.
- Deep understanding of Indonesian taxes, especially:
- PPN (VAT)
- PPh 21 & PPh 23
- Tourism tax and local Bali requirements
- Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.
- Familiar with OCR tools like Hubdoc, Dext, or manual invoice entry.
- Able to categorize expenses, track income from multiple sources (OTA, direct bookings), and prepare monthly profit/loss statements.
- Comfortable reconciling accounts and flagging discrepancies.
- Able to communicate in English (written and spoken).
Responsibilities:
- Record and categorize daily expenses and income from bank feeds and receipts.
- Upload and match receipts using Hubdoc or manually.
- Reconcile accounts weekly and monthly.
- Prepare monthly reports: income, expenses, profit/loss, and tax estimates.
- Coordinate with local tax consultants if needed.
- Organize financial records in Google Drive or Notion.
